Programming MZ-18 (24) for NAZA M (PPM sum signal/ traditional)

It is assumed that the remote control can be programmed/operated, i.e. how entries are made in the menu.

BASIC menu


1. MOD SELECT

Create a new model, assign a name if required.

2. MODEL TYPE

MOT. - 1Q - EL - Normal.

3. WEGLIM

K5. 84%-WAY+ 85%

K6. 87% -WAY+ 87%

4. MID

K5. and K6. 4%

5. CLOCKS

Set clock 1 if necessary. Is necessary for data logging of the MZ.

6. ENC.SET

5. AUX1 > SW5 (NAZA Modes)
6. AUX2 > SW7 ( IOC Modes)

7. TRANS.OUT

Out1 > 2
Out2 > 3
Out3 > 1
Out4 > 4
Out5 > 7
Out6 > 6
Out7 > 5

FUNCTION Menu

8. FRI. MIX


1. C5 >> C5 and at SET >>

G/S > SW3 (switch NAZA failsafe manually)
A -29%
B -125%
OFFSET X +77%

2. K1 >> K1 and at SET >>

G/S > SW6 (50% throttle, no matter where the throttle stick is.)


Bind the receiver to the transmitter, switch on both ( TX and RX ) and in the FUNCTION menu

>>> TELEMET. >>> Set/Display:

2x ENT >>> 2x INC and set "Mode" (SET) to OFF (press INC until OFF is displayed and then press ENT). Now the NAZA's failsafe works in the event of a radio failure.

Sum08:

continue 2x ENT until the page with "CH OUT TYPE" comes (at the bottom). Press INC several times until it is selected (small arrow). Press SET and INC until “Sum08” appears >>> press ENT. Connect output 8 to NAZA X2!


The following things must also be set for the NAZA:

Basic >>> RC >>> A and R to REV .

Optionally, K 2 and 4 can also be reversed in the remote control!

With traditional wiring, point 7 is not performed and the receiver is not set to Sum08. The receiver outputs are just all correctly connected to the NAZA.
The NAZA failsafe is set in the F/S menu of the MZ-18. To do this, switch S3 must be set to failsafe and K5 in the F/S menu. set to POS and saved with SET. There should then be -16% as a value. Now the NAZA Failsafe also works with traditional wiring!

Everyone is of course responsible for the programming themselves and must check the correct function themselves ...
